The Ribble FM team attended the glittering E3 Business Awards in Bolton on Thursday evening.
The presenters, management and directors at Ribble FM are celebrating this week after station founder, Kath Lord-Green, took home a prestigious regional business award. The sixth-annual E3 Business Awards took place on Thursday (July 12th) at Bolton’s Macron stadium and saw Ribble Valley community radio station, 106.7 Ribble FM, nominated in the Social Enterprise of the Year category and station founder and manager, Kath Lord-Green, nominated in the Outstanding Woman in Business category. Whilst the station was unlucky not to take home a gong on the night, the Outstanding Woman in Business award went to Ribble FM’s Kath Lord-Green, who brought the station to air two years ago this month. During her acceptance speech, Kath thanked the team of presenters, technical staff and directors for their hard work over the last two years as well as the station’s listeners, supporters and advertisers who have helped to make Ribble FM the success story that it is today and said that she was “completely overwhelmed” to be recognised with the accolade in the town she was born in. Supporting Kath on the night, Ribble FM breakfast show host, Andrew, attended the awards bash along with duty manager Lee Roe, presenters Lewis Baxter and Liz Catlow and non-executive director Jane Viljoen.
